CCTV installation at a farm A local farm was looking for a cost effective CCTV camera set up to protect their premises and livestock. Network & System upgrade for a local business We carried out an audit of the current IT set up, due to some performance issues with the desktop computers and network in general. It was suggested that in the short term, the computers required additional system memory, new antivirus was required and the aging network hubs would require replacing. Within half a days work, we had upgraded all systems to a minimum of 1GB memory, rolled out Eset NOD32 Business Edition Antivirus on the Server and workstations and replaced the 10mbit network hubs with Netgear ProSafe 100mbit Switches. The difference to the network from these changes was instant and was greatly appreciated by the staff. In the medium to long term, the desktop systems will be replaced with new Windows 7 capable machines for additional features and security. CCTV installation at a hotel Call Out Computing were approached by a local hotel who were looking to replace their ageing CCTV system. They had received quotes from various security companies, which came out far higher than expected. Following the free onsite survey by Peter Witherow, a new four camera set up with live digital recording was installed. These record 24/7 and the video footage or still photo of any camera can be taken either onto a computer or passed on to the Police. The new cameras also have infra red night vision capability, so persons and vehicles can easily be monitored during the night.
